Team in the Netherlands:

Prof. Sytse U. Zuidema | PI in Dutch team
Head of the Department of General Practice and Elderly Care Medicine of the UMCG, is supervisor of 18 PhD students and author of 70 papers on pain, appropriate psychotropic drug prescription and psychosocial interventions in people with dementia. He is involved in several projects of music interventions. UMCG hosts a network of 20 large care organisations that stimulate scientific research in nursing homes to increase quality of care. 

Dr. Sarah Janus | project leader of the Dutch MIDDEL team
Psychologist and postdoctoral researcher at the Department of General Practice and Elderly Care Medicine of the UMCG, oversees daily trial conduct in the Netherlands.

Naomi Rasing, MSc | PhD Candidate

Trained as a music therapist and psychologist, is responsible for the implementation of the MIDEL project and daily trial conduct in the Netherlands.

Dr. Annemieke Vink 
is a lector at the ArtEZ University of the Arts. As an experienced researcher of music therapy she will be engaged in the recruitment, ensuring the quality of the intervention in the Netherlands.

Drs. Mirjam Schmitz | research assistant
Physiotherapist and movement scientist, is responsible for data collection in the care homes and daily trial conduct.
