MIDDEL in the Netherlands is hosted by the University Medical Centre Groningen.
WORK PACKAGES:
The Dutch MIDDEL team are responsible for work package 2: GMT (group music therapy) consensus; barriers and facilitators of GMT and RCS (recreational choir singing), and work package 4: Biomarkers.

Prof. Sytse U. Zuidema | PI in Dutch team
Head of the Department of General Practice and Elderly Care Medicine of the UMCG, is supervisor of 18 PhD students and author of 70 papers on pain, appropriate psychotropic drug prescription and psychosocial interventions in people with dementia. He is involved in several projects of music interventions. UMCG hosts a network of 20 large care organisations that stimulate scientific research in nursing homes to increase quality of care.
